Influenza A virus subtype H1N1, also known as A(H1N1), is a subtype of influenzavirus A and the most common cause of influenza (flu) in humans.

Influenzavirus A is a genus of the Orthomyxoviridae family of virus. Influenzavirus A includes only one species: Influenza A virus which causes influenza in Birds and some Mammals.
